You probably are aware of a possible new health insurance plan that will give health insurance to every American. The idea of everyone having the health coverage they need is fantastic, but like anything else there are some potential problems. The first question is what would happen to all of the current health insurance providers? There would probably still be some of the companies that will work with the government to stay in business, but it is likely that the number of private health insurance companies would shrink.
Whether you are against it or for it, there is not much the average “Joe” can do. We will have to live with whatever decision is made, but there are some people standing out to voice their opinion. Some people from other countries that have a similar health system are saying that it does not work like it is designed, but others are pushing the fact everyone will have available health care.
It might not just affect the health insurance industry, it could affect practicing doctors or current student doctors. There are a lot of student doctors that take up a specialty in a specific area. They will have to spend more time at school studying, but the main reason they do it is so they can be paid more for their specialty area. With the new health care plan, it is unsure if a specialty doctor will make more than just a regular medical doctor, so why would a student doctor spend more time and money studying to become a specialty doctor? There are many questions that have arose from the health care plan, and hopefully all of the kinks are worked out before a final decision is made.
